The Woodlands begins the festivities on July 3 with the Houston Symphony’s Star-Spangled Salute. On July 4, enjoy the South County Fourth of July Parade at 9am, or visit any of the community pools free to residents through 6pm. The closing ceremony is the Annual Red, Hot & Blue Festival and Fireworks Extravaganza! Additional details and links below courtesy of The Woodlands Township.

July 3

Star-Spangled Salute at The Pavilion

The holiday festivities begin on  July 3 with the Houston Symphony’s Star-Spangled Salute at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion. The concert features a selection of patriotic favorites, American Classics, sing-alongs, and of course, Tchaikovsky’s “1812 Overture” complete with cannons from atop the hill.  The concert begins at 8 p.m. at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, and admission is FREE. Gates open at 6:30 p.m.

 July 4

Fourth of July Parade

Wake up early on July 4th, put on your red, white and blue and get a prime viewing spot for the exciting South County Fourth of July Parade. The 1.3-mile parade begins and ends at The Woodlands United Methodist Church.The parade begins at 9 a.m., with marching bands, fire engines, clowns, horses and floats. A tent will be set up in front of The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion for senior citizens and the physically challenged to obtain relief from the summer heat. Roads in and near the route will be closed during the parade.

Splash Day

Cool off on the Fourth of July at one of the Township’s community pools! The lifeguards at each pool will select a special theme and provide free activities and refreshments while supplies last. Pools will be FREE to all residents from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. with activities occurring between noon and 4 p.m.

Red, Hot & Blue Festival and Fireworks Extravaganza

Celebrate freedom in The Woodlands with great food, live entertainment,children’s activities and family fun at multiple locations throughout The Woodlands from 6 to 10 p.m. This community-wide celebration offers fun for all ages.

The event culminates with the 18-minute Fireworks Extravaganza over The Woodlands. The 21st Annual Red, Hot and Blue Festival will be larger than ever before, with multiple event and fireworks launch locations throughout The Woodlands.

Please view the fireworks launch locations and parking map to identify designated parking areas for each event site. To ensure spectators have the best fireworks visibility possible, fireworks teaser shots will be fired from all launch locations at 9, 9:10 and 9:20 p.m.

For the comfort and safety of all attendees, oversized beach umbrellas and pop-up tents are not permitted at the festival.
